So, when I talk about how American racism is basically the same in mentality of the 1800’s? It’s shit like this, and the fact that the white delusions about everyone else in the world basically remain the same, that tells us how fucking backwards they are.

Also note that embracing whiteness DOES NOT WORK. There was a case that went all the way to the Supreme Court where a Japanese guy argued that he should be considered white because of his skin color. The Supreme Court ruled that science overrules appearance, only racial Caucasians are white. A few years later a Sikh guy tried to use that ruling to claim white status on the basis of Aryan ancestry. The Supreme Court promptly ruled that appearance trumps science, only light-skinned people are white.

And that’s really the heart of racism- double standards and shifting goalposts all the way. There is no solid place, there is no meritocracy, there are no rules you can adhere to and finally “get it right” because it’s a system of abuse- and abusers change the rules all the time because the only rule that matters is they’re always right, and they should always get what they want, and you’re always wrong and you always should have known better.
