Our third date, you told me what was bothering you. You said you never really saw yourself in a long-term relationship with a black guy, and that you were more into white, ‘all-American’ guys.

It’s fine that you’re not into black guys, and I don’t consider you a racist. But weren’t you the one who mentioned that your grandparents moved here from Wales in the 1940s? That means your family has been here for less than one century, and mine was probably dragged over here like 200 years ago or more, but somehow you’re more ‘all-American’ than I am?
