Sidenote:  I’m still unsure of whether David D is pulling another “Team Fred the Godson” and seeing if he can get people to blindly follow a rapper he doesn’t actually like.

I ‘actually like’ both Keef & Fred the Godson — the ‘joke’ with Fred only worked if you do think he’s on par w/ or better than ASAP, which I do — but you should pay attention to how they’re written about, because that’s more important than the fact that I’ve mentioned them or covered them. There’s journalism & there’s music criticism & there’s lists of my favorite music, and these are three different things that don’t necessarily overlap at all times.

I like this song, but I love that the conversation above happened.
