What was the best mechanically reproducible culture (film, music, television, literature) released in 1985?
(This follows from a discussion about whether, culturally speaking, 1985 was a lackluster year. Back to the Future and Cupid and Psyche ‘85 among others notwithstanding, I tend to agree. But I seek arguments to the contrary (Matos?) in particular.)

Goofy summertime shit from 40 and Short. This is not the direction I was hoping for with this album, but it’s fun. Which is what the Day Shift disc is shaping up to be. 40 is styling hard.
